The viral mystery of Dubai: discover the hidden word in its famous skyscrapers

In Dubai, one word surprises all the tourists who visit the city: the mysterious acronym EEMAR appears on each of the skyscrapers, leaving visitors puzzled. In a recent video circulating on social media about Dubai, the ironic question that everyone arriving at the magnificent enclave asks is featured: what does this acronym mean?

Although it seems somewhat mysterious, the acronym EEMAR appears on all constructions because it is the largest real estate developer in the city and the owner of most of the skyscrapers that make it up. This company is among the most admired and valuable real estate development firms in the world, having developed ventures in Dubai such as shopping malls, hotels, and entertainment.

The hidden word of Dubai: the largest company in the world.

EEMAR defines itself as the largest real estate company in the world, as well as the one that has developed the most ambitious projects within Dubai. According to its official website, this site has a net asset value of AED 177.5 billion (USD 48.3 billion), according to the latest update in 2023. The company is led by Mohamed Ali Rasheed Alabar and also features a series of industry leaders, real estate developers, and lifestyle experts from around the world.

On its official site, the company outlined its upcoming projects, including EEMAR Sur, a villa with townhouses that combine local charm with a global perspective. More residences within Dubai Creek Harbour were also announced, new “ultra-luxury” villas in the Oasis, and a series of estates in Dubai Hills Estate. Additionally, they continue construction on beachfront apartments and villas under the Address brand in Al Marjan.

One of the most important innovations by EEMAR revolutionized all of Dubai. It is the first 3D house in the city. This initiative, which was presented in 2023, aims to accelerate construction processes to generate sustainable and environmentally friendly buildings. In this way, this type of construction was designed to be installed definitively in the coming years and to become the only viable method by 2030.

This house, which was showcased last year, features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, and a study room. The house also demonstrates how 3D printing can be integrated with Xiaomi’s Mobile X AIOT products, including smart vacuums, air purifiers, cameras, and more, ready to redefine the smart living landscape in the United Arab Emirates.

Within the previously mentioned EEMAR projects, EEMAR South is one of the most recent. It is strategically located near Al Maktoum International Airport and Expo City Dubai, giving it a strategic position for connectivity between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. “We are building a new project for future generations, ensuring continuous and stable development for our children and their children in turn,” said the project’s leaders.

The goal is to generate a true green city around the airport with amenities for the whole family, featuring more than 23,104 residential units. These include a wide range of housing options, from stylish apartments and penthouses to luxurious townhouses and villas. The variety meets the needs of a broad spectrum of residents, from young professionals to growing families.
