As its name indicates, Al Ain is considered the oasis city. It is also known as the city of the seven oases because it is built in the middle of the desert, right on the border with Oman, about 160 kilometers from Dubai. Despite the high temperatures, this place has true natural spots amid its streets, where one can breathe fresh air amidst the heat.

Among its various attractions, Al Ain has 75 parks and gardens, which began to be built in 1969. These offer a wide range of outdoor activities for residents and visitors. The peculiar aspect of Al Ain is that no tall buildings can be constructed there, so its landscape is markedly different from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Due to its traditional imprint and low-rise buildings, Al Ain has a number of attractions that distinguish it from the rest. As mentioned earlier, this site features a series of oases that maintain a particular irrigation system. These use an underground irrigation mechanism, “falaj,” through which water is extracted from wells to supply water to farms and irrigate the palm trees.

Among the variety of natural enclaves in this city, the largest is known by the same name as the city, located to the south, and the smallest is known as Al Jahili. Other popular sites include Qattara, Al Mutaredh, Al Jimi, Al Muaiji, and Hili. In addition to its natural enclaves, this place has another popular attraction: the camel market. This space attracts numerous buyers and sellers from different parts of the Emirates. The market is surprising and entertaining, as it allows you to see countless camels for which merchants negotiate and are ultimately transported in small trucks.
