Surf Abu Dhabi will feature pools divided by zones according to the experience and needs of the surfer. One of them, known as the ‘Beach Break’ area, is designed for beginners with waves suited to this level. In this spot, you can practice the sport in two types of waves. One of them is called White Water, which simulates a typical surf lesson, and Green Water, for a gentle introduction to the techniques of this discipline.

For more experienced surfers, there is also Cocoa Beach, which has waist-high, slow waves, designed for slightly more experienced surfers to continue practicing. Meanwhile, the Point Break sector is for intermediate surfers, with faster waves and controlled tubes, ideal for practicing more dynamic maneuvers. In addition to these segments, the club features a luxurious restaurant, Nalu Surf Club, which has a rooftop overlooking the wave pool and the city skyline, as well as its own pool.

The Chilean surfer Sebastián Álvarez turned this park into a viral destination after undertaking a unique adventure that combined three different disciplines: base jumping, swooping skydiving, and surfing. This athlete drew the world’s attention when he jumped from a Bell helicopter at an altitude of 3,657 meters over Hudayriyat Island.

Equipped with a modified surfboard, Álvarez descended while performing “sky-surf,” maneuvering his parachute at high speed to align with a 2.3-meter artificial wave in Kelly Slater’s pool, which is also part of Surf Abu Dhabi. Once he reached the wave, the feat culminated when he cut the parachute to land on the wave and surf it with the skill of a professional. The project, which took more than two years of planning and training, earned him worldwide recognition.
