Abu Dhabi is open to influences from different countries and is committed to spanish expertise. the architect Manuel Ruiz Moriche, creator of ARK Architects, was one of those chosen to carry out a new project that will redefine luxury in the city and will be in charge of the design of the “type 2 and 5” mansions on the new artificial island of Hudayriyat.
The villas, which are being carried out by the aforementioned company, will occupy 51 million square meters and are being developed by Modon Properties, in Nawayef. these residences are planned to be built among hills, reaching 55 meters, giving the best views of the skyline of Abu Dhabi and the Persian Gulf.
The luxury of Abu Dhabi with a spanish imprint
At a time when real estate investments are constantly growing, Nawayef By Modon & ARK Architects wanted to create a true artificial island where nature, outdoor living and sports are its main objectives. to this end, the expert Manuel Ruiz Moriche decided to add to his designs the common roots of the mediterranean and islamic cultures, creating private villas with authentic exterior and interior richness.
Following this line, Ruiz also decided to apply sustainable technology, this being the main objective of the United Arab Emirates for the future in construction. for this reason, the architect decided to apply bioclimatic techniques, incorporating open-air spaces and latticework that reduces energy consumption and creates a comfortable environment. for this, the architect chose to use materials from the hills where they will be built, such as desert sand and sandblasted travertine.
Manuel Ruiz Moriche, the chosen one to give light to Abu Dhabi
Manuel Ruiz Moriche is considered by the specialized press as “the architect chosen to give light to the capital of the United Arab Emirates”, founder of the prestigious company ARK Architects and the creator of enormous projects in the city. when starting this project, the expert also gave details of what these spaces will be like, where the aforementioned techniques of the most sustainable architecture will be used.
In this context, the use of water is very important and, as the developers consider, “in their villas water is a purifying element that unites the ancestral roots of the Arab culture and provides bioclimatic benefits to homes, creating authentic oases of life”. in addition, the villas offer spacious interiors, private pools and large terraces, where physical and emotional well-being is prioritized in a quiet luxury environment.
Hudayriyat Island, Abu Dhabi’s most ambitious project
The realization of projects such as that of Manuel Ruiz Moriche adapts to the needs of Abu Dhabi to create on Hudayriyat Island a pioneering space in leisure, entertainment and luxury residences. the enhancement of this natural space is carried out by Modon Properties in accordance with the president of the United Arab Emirates, sheikh Mohamed and the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed.
“Hudayriyat Island is a pioneering project that is the first of its kind in the city in terms of size and area. the island’s appeal lies in its distinctive natural environment and prime location,” they said at the launch of the plan that includes the spanish architect. at present this enclave is considered a popular ecotourism site, being home to the Bab Al Nojoum glamping complex, Marsana Beach, OCR Park, Trail X, Bike Park and 321 Sports, among others.
