An amusement park with a Guinness World Record awaits you, where the sunlight never shines

A park in the heart of Abu Dhabi is not news in the magnificent capital of the United Arab Emirates. However, the Warner Bros World park has an additional feature that makes it unique in the world and distinguishes it from the rest.

Although there are many franchises of this kind in the world, the one in this city breaks all records. Warner Bros. World is considered the largest indoor theme park in the world, whose construction involved more than one billion dollars with incredible attractions that impress all visitors.

A park that breaks all records where natural light does not exist

Warner Bros World Park covers 150,000 square meters and its project began in 2007, under the leadership of the company Thinkwell Group. Although the work had to stop that year, construction resumed in 2015 leading to one of the most visited sites in Abu Dhabi. Despite being compared to Disneyland, this park is small in comparison but holds an impressive secret inside.

The decision to build it inside a building is not random; this choice is due to the stifling summer climate in these territories. The truth is that sunlight is crucial in this site, and the terrace features about 16,000 solar modules that produce around 40% of the energy demand.

An iconic park in the heart of Abu Dhabi

Un parque icónico en pleno Abu Dabi

Despite not having the dimensions of Disneyland, Warner Bros. World has six areas featuring 29 attractions, each dedicated to a different brand franchise. Therefore, one of its central points recreates a square of iconic Hollywood where the best bars and restaurants are located to rest from an exhausting day filled with countless adventures to explore.

But the most striking feature of this park is the lack of natural light, which gives the space an atmosphere disconnected from the outside world. Each area has a huge lighting system that tries to emulate the sun’s rays, allowing visitors who choose to visit to spend the day there without any notion of time. Among its main attractions are ‘The Riddler Revolution,’ a rotating roller coaster, and ‘Batman: Knight Flight,’ a show with a mechanical arm flying visitors to different screens.
